Rising Above My Circumstances to Find Peace

Beautiful sunset over Lake Michigan

I am rising above fear, anxiety and doubt…

I choose to have faith that God has a plan for me and will lead me on the path he has planned for me which leads to peace and serenity.

I am rising above brokenness and unworthiness…

I choose to believe that God is working in me to make me his masterpiece. Because I am his child I am worthy of love, laughter, joy, peace and hope.

I am rising above bitterness, anger and resentment…

I choose grace, compassion and forgiveness towards those who have hurt me and the things that have happened to me.

I am rising above comparison, jealousy and self-doubt…

I choose to discover my own strengths and gifts from God and to use those to live a more connected life, loving myself and others..

I am rising above guilt and shame…

I choose to have compassion for myself and to accept that I am doing the best I can every day..

I am rising above abandonment and loneliness…

I choose to believe that I am a child of a heavenly father who loves me unconditionally and never leaves me.

I am rising above my need to control…

I choose to live life one day at a time, to surrender to God’s will, and to have gratitude for the lessons life gives me.

I am rising above perfectionism…

I choose authenticity, connection and vulnerability in my imperfection.

I am rising above criticism and judgment…

I choose mercy, grace and acceptance of others just as they are.

I am rising above hustling, proving, and exhaustion…

I choose to slow down, to take care of myself, to ask for help, to sometimes say no, to welcome peace.

I am rising above comfort and predictability…

I choose to take a risk, a leap of faith, to allow myself to feel vulnerable, and to grow into the best version of myself.

I am rising above my circumstances…

I choose to accept hardship as a pathway to peace and am grateful for the lessons I have learned along the way.  I know I can do hard things with God who gives me strength.

I am rising above who the world says I should be…

I choose to follow God’s guidance and who he wants me to be and to chase after what really matters.  I choose to be more and do less and to focus on what’s on the inside more than what’s on the outside.

I choose faith, hope, love, and peace.
